Sales people must continually guard against negative ideas. They come from all around us, our job, perceived failures, not getting what we would like or having unattainable goals.
It is very important that the sales manager work with sales people and teach them the ability to compartmentalize problems. For example, a child might not be good at soccer, but is good at golf and tennis and is getting very good grades. The perception of falling behind in soccer however might cause the child to become depressed. It is critical that the child learn how this once area does not effect all other areas.
This holds true with sales. Just because we are failing with one client does not mean that we are unable to succeed with another. Just because I have one dissatisfied customer, especially in the service industry does not mean all of my customers are dissatisfied.
Remain optimistic it is the key to being able to continue to strive at sales! It keeps you going when others will fail!

What makes the Sales Kinetics system different is that our approach breaks a sales force down into different systems. Once a person understand the why behind how a piece of the system effects the performance of the sales force the sales manager then has a framework in which to make decisions from. This investment in education the source of control of the sales force creates value over time for the firm.
